Mexican Fried Ice Cream

A Fried Ice Cream Affair!

Try our no-fry version of this beloved dessert. This recipe combines the signature crispy coating with our classic Madagascar Vanilla Mawa Ice Cream.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the crushed corn flakes, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the melted butter to the corn flakes mixture and mix until well-combined.
  4. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Set aside and let the corn flakes mixture cool completely.
  6. Using an ice cream scoop or your hands, form balls of ice cream and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Roll each ball of ice cream in the corn flakes mixture, pressing the mixture into the ice cream to make sure it sticks.
  8. Freeze the coated ice cream balls for at least 2 hours or until ready to serve.
  9. Serve with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and maraschino cherries on top.
